How do you forward messages to me?

Callers can can be transferred into any voicemail system. You can opt for our voicemail, or if you already have voicemail at your office or on your mobile phone, messages can be left there. So when a message has to be left you can specify exactly where you would like your remote receptionist to transfer callers to leave a message. DirecTel’s voicemail can send a voicemail message to an e-mail as a wav. file attachment or call any telephone with a combination of numbers to notify you when you have a message.

How do you know if I'm available to take calls?

Your remote receptionist gets to know you and your staff by name. Communicating with you day-in and day-out she knows your schedule. You can update your schedule daily, weekly or monthly by telephone, internet, e-mail, web access or fax. Your remote receptionist is able to determine your availability instantly and transfer your calls accordingly. When updating your status, you can issue very specific instructions. For example, you may request to have calls transferred to your cell phone, calls held for an allotted amount of time, detailed information relayed to your callers, or re-directed to someone else in your office.

Can you transfer calls to my cell phone and my home?

Yes. Your remote receptionist can transfer calls to as many phone numbers as you wish whether it's an office line, home line, cell phone, or client site. Local and long-distance. Many clients give us multiple phone numbers so that we have a variety of ways to reach them.

Which phone number do my clients call?

Most of our clients continue to use their main company telephone number and simply call forward it to their assigned DirecTel number. When you activate your remote receptionist plan with DirecTel, you are assigned a telephone number that you may or may not choose to publish. Hence, your clients will continue calling your main company telephone number and have no idea it is being answered remotely.

What are your hours?

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 8am-6pm. After-hour calls can be automatically flash hooked back into your in-house voicemail system or to an after-hours answering service, or you can opt for our after-hours voicemail with menu options. DirecTel's after-hours voicemail along with a remote receptionist offers your callers 24-7 phone reception.

Do you require a long-term commitment?

No. You are obligated for the first 90 days. After 90 days, you are automatically on a 30-day contract. Thereafter, we provide service on a month-to-month basis. You may cancel at any time. A thirty-day written cancellation notice is required. Notice must be given before the first of any given month.

We have more than one office. Can we forward the calls from all of the offices to you?

Yes, provided that you want all the offices incoming calls answered in the same manner. If not, at a discounted rate you can opt for an additional assigned telephone number to be answered with a different answer phrase.

Are my cell and direct line telephone numbers given out to my callers?

All cell and direct line numbers are considered confidential and are not given out unless you request them to be. When given out written authorization from you is necessary. Callers are given general information including but not limited to your main telephone number, fax, and e-mail information.

How do I get call forwarding on our company’s main telephone number?

You need to call your telephone company to have them add the call forwarding feature to your existing telephone service. This allows you to forward your main telephone line. Different call forwarding features are; manual call forwarding, call forwarding busy line, call forwarding don’t answer. Each call forwarding feature serves a different purpose.
